So, after a wanting a DeviantArt account for a LONG time, I finally just got one! I adore DeviantArt, and right now I'm very excited and just can't wait to put up my best work! I'm mostly a cartoon-like artist, since I am dreadful at realism and anime, and greatly inspired by the works of Disney. Currently I am working on my style and trying to improve, and hope this account will help :D Anyway, ever since I found out about DeviantArt I have loved it, and I am just in complete bliss that I am actually here right now, writing this...

Thanks! :D I made it using Photoshop. I started with two layers; one with the eye open, and one with the eye closed. Then, I went to File, Save for web, and saved it in .gif format. Finally, I clicked 'Animate' and fiddled with some options to get it just right, and made it my avatar. Heh, sorry for the bad explaination, I'm really bad at explaining things! ^^; However, if you're really interested in making one, I'm sure you can find some great tutorials here on DA :)
